Vitoria Regia Curveform is a unique work consisting of four variously configurable tables made from hand formed solid tobin bronze and Vitoria Regia, a quartizite from the Amazon River Basin. Vitoria Regia’s green color and fluid shapes emerged from ancient volcanic activity solidifying aquatic plants and alluvium flows in the Amazon’s prehistoric jungle river ecosystem. This work celebrates the use of handmade processes, natural materials, and the convergence of solid forms with organic fluidity. Aesthetically, it connects a contemporary sensibility with references to historical 1970s French design.
