The Museum Glass Bench in annealed glass and steel was originally envisioned to be placed near art, as not to obstruct the view, yet allow one a place to sit and contemplate the work. It’s made of commercial grade glass pipes and solid steel and is strong enough to hold up to 250 lbs. The steel has a blackened patina that reads like a dark graphite grey in bright light and then coated with a matte finish to protect it from rust. This heavy industrial, minimal modern piece is a real conversation starter.
