Counterpart

Chatsworth House MYC

Commissioned by the Duke of Devonshire for Chatsworth House, Counterpart comprises two contrasting blocks. One a dark, light-absorbing block of coal referencing the 18th Century coal tunnel mines owned by the Devonshire family. The other a translucent, crystalline, and glowing cast resin block that evokes the extensive mineral collection begun by Georgiana, Duchess of Devonshire, in the 18th Century.
