Based on an ink on paper work, GRAFFITO has an active field of scribbles, marks and boxes – as if carved and scratched directly into the wool. While there is no pattern or regular repeat in the design, the allover effect of the details creates an energetic yet cohesive whole.
Graffiti is an ancient form of communication and story-telling, pre-dating written language. The colorways for GRAFFITO are named for famous sites where ancient markings have been found. The purposes range from prayers for rain to directions for travelers on their way to the bordello.
