Bec Brittain studied industrial design at Parsons, earned a BA in philosophy from New York University, and received an architecture degree from The Architectural Association in London before launching her studio in 2011. Bec draws on these diverse disciplines to create connections between typically disparate elements. Her goal is to create work that elicits both an immediate sensual response and a deeper appreciation of a broader aesthetic concept. All her designs are made in her Manhattan studio, using a range of techniques and a network of local fabricators and artisans, with each piece assembled by hand.
